We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to support Gardens of the Sun in various financial and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial models, principles and procedures; business analytics; excellent organizational skills; and the ability to multitask effectively. As Finance Assistant, you will work closely with the Finance & General Affair Manager as well as collaborate with other departments to contribute to the overall financial health of the company.

This role will be a full-time WFO position for 40 hours and 5 days a week. You’ll be working from our studio in Denpasar, Bali.
Expected start date: Immediately
Main responsibilities
- Assist in managing the day-to-day financial operations, including preparing payments for bills, managing the cash book, and maintaining the petty cash box for daily expenses.
- Record and reconcile outgoing expenses, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial records.
- Assist with financial reporting tasks, including preparing and analyzing financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and risk mitigation plans for the company's financial sustainability.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of our product sales to manage sale strategies and make recommendations for adjustments.
- Conduct competitive market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with Finance & GA Manager to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risk.
- Support in fulfilling tax reports and other custom reports as required by regulatory authorities or internal stakeholders.
- Provide support during external audits and tax filings, including coordinating with auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other finance and administrative tasks as assigned by the Finance & GA Manager to support the smooth functioning of the finance department and achieve organizational objectives.

- You’re a data enthusiast and a meticulous person, ensuring no detail, however small, escapes your keen eye.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are comfortable with voicing your opinions to your superiors backed by data for the improvement of our processes.
- You’re fluent in accounting and financial systems, especially Jurnal and Excel, and have no trouble mastering new systems and procedures as well as being able to quickly adapt to changes.
- You manage to prioritize your tasks smoothly and manage your time effectively.
- You're a self-starter, ready to take on any task independently and see it through to completion, all while communicating and collaborating within a team environment.
- You commit to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
- You hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, preferably with prior experience in a finance modelling or accounting role.
