The Business Development Executive plays a pivotal role in driving our company's growth and market position by managing client relationships and spearheading business development strategies. This role involves a blend of strategic planning, client engagement, and comprehensive oversight of business development activities within the country. The ideal candidate will foster strategic partnerships, optimize client satisfaction, and ensure our organization's continuous improvement in quality, safety, and environmental management systems.
Your responsibilities as a business development executive are:
- Strategic Development and Partnerships
- Maintain and Enhance Business Strategy: Responsible for upkeep and evolution of the medium and long-term business development strategy, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
- Forge Strategic Partnerships: Identify and develop partnerships to support the long-term business strategy, enhancing the company's market position and growth prospects.
- Client Relationship and Stakeholder Management
- Optimize Client Satisfaction: Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagements, including during project execution, to optimize satisfaction levels.
- Enhance Client Engagement: Develop and maintain close connections with existing and potential clients, including but not limited to universities, local authorities, technical consultancies, and subcontractors, to identify opportunities and proactively position Boskalis as a preferred contractor.
- Business Development Activities
- Technical Tender Compilation: Responsible for assembling technical tender documents and preparing executive summaries for multidisciplinary projects.
- Market Development Identification: Identify market developments and compile an overview of activities to be undertaken, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of industry trends.
- Information Management: Provide commercial information, including inquiries, contracts, visit reports, and competitive intelligence, to relevant databases to support sales and business development strategies.
- Sales and Marketing Support
- Lead Development: Convert leads into inquiries for bidding and achieve pre-qualification with customers to enable competitive project bidding.
- Tender Process Support: Assist the Tender Manager and tender teams during the bid process by providing vital information, trends, best practices, and project evaluations.
- Strategic Influence and Assistance
- Market Influence: Actively influence the market by assisting clients with various solutions in early project phases to secure strategic opportunities for Boskalis.
Your qualities
You can move ahead as business development executive if you recognize yourself in the following:
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, or a professional certificate in a Technical, Nautical, or Commercial field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience within a commercial/maritime environment, encompassing roles in commercial and operational areas, business development, stakeholder management, and working with diverse cultures in an international setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders. Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is required.
- Willing to frequently travel within the Indonesian Archipelago.
- A strong interest in project management, financial analysis, contractual negotiations, tender management, and business development.
