Role & responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate Lathe Machines (e.g. CNC)
• Monitor and inspect parts for conformance to drawings and quality standards
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to produce parts
• Maintain a clean working environment in the machine shop area
• Attend department and company meetings
• Comply with the company’s business and human resources policies; work rules; safety, OSHA and MIOSHA requirements; quality standards; standard operating procedures; requirements and applicable local, State, and Federal regulations
• Perform other related duties as needed and assigned

• formal education of at least 2 years or an academic degree in a related field
• at least 5 years of professional experience as a lathe operator
• knowledge of lathe operation, tool selection, workpiece setup, toolpath programming, speed and feed control, measuring instruments and blueprint reading
• Flexibility, independence and assertiveness

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Target-oriented work under pressure
• High level of commitment, good motivator and team player
• Very good command of English
• Prior knowledge of German is a plus, but not mandatory
