• Carry out maintenance and project activities for mechanical, rotating, and static equipment properly, and handle ambient noise, B3, solid, and liquid waste in accordance with SOP, superior guidance, and standards/directions from the SHE team.
• Play an active role and inform superiors, GA, and managers if there are equipment, tools, licenses, and calibrations that are about to expire, both for the equipment and themselves.
• Carry out repairs, additional equipment installations, modifications, and preventive and predictive maintenance. Perform repairs and modifications according to fixed plans, and report any changes to the implementation of planning related to changes requested by the production team due to urgent or emergency conditions.
• Control the use of spare parts and report any usage/replacement.
• Continue/replace the work of absent colleagues in accordance with superiors’ instructions and applicable overtime/compensation procedures.
• Provide a report to superiors (direct communication) if there is a problem that cannot be resolved within a certain time limit for the shift, in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Control work health and safety principles during shifts.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the work area after making modifications or repairs to process machines, according to targets.

The Mechanic position performs all tasks and duties of a mechanical discipline including but not limited to, installing and maintaining engines, hydraulic motors, pumps, compressors, and miscellaneous mechanical devices. The position is responsible for all mechanical Platform equipment The position is also responsible for uploading maintenance and repair data into a Maintenance Management System (MMS).

Essential Functions:

• Comply with platform emergency response plan or station bills during emergencies and/ or drills.
• The Mechanic will also support the timely execution of Parkers Operations Readiness and Assurance activities during the Pre-operations phase in the shipyard.

• Ensure Parker Drilling’s Competency program – Authorized to Operate (ATO) and Approved Competent Operator (ACO) are applied and followed.
• Ensure Client competency compliance is applied and followed.

• Lubricate and service mechanical equipment as specified on lubrication schedule.

• Adjust or regulate functional parts of machinery, devices, and control instruments.
• Troubleshoot and analyze mechanical malfunctions and failures.
• Read and analyze mechanical drawings, P&ID’s (Process & Instrumentation Drawings), schematics and equipment operating and Maintenance Manuals.
• Enter maintenance and repair data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Create Job requests and work orders as required and enter into maintenance tracking system.
• Coordinate with Rig Superintendent/Maintenance Lead on the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of equipment.
• Foresee potential equipment malfunctions or failures and performs required repairs, adjustments or modification to resolve the problem.
• Respond to emergencies as requested and coordinate onsite activities to utilize resources to facilitate repairs in the most expedient and cost effective manner.
• Ensure an adequate amount of spare parts are on hand at all times.
• Submit requisitions to Rig Manager/Purchasing Manager for approval.
• Maintain records of all mechanical inventories and place orders as required within budgetary limits.
• Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools to facilitate any necessary repairs.
• Perform additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as may be directed.

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems on the Company’s rigs. Provides failure-free and technically correct safe operating performance of hydraulic equipment. Inspects, trouble shoots and performs repairs of hydraulic systems, on rig and support equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Inspects hydraulic, hose and cable operated attachments on cranes and on site equipment;
• Overhaul / recondition / performance testing of hydraulic components including fixed and variable displacement pumps and motors, open and closed loop systems, manual, solenoid-operated, proportional and servo valve, hydraulic cylinders, filtration, hoses and pipe assemblies;
• Upgrading and improvement of onsite hydraulic equipment. Perform skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of mechanical / hydraulic systems and equipment;
• Organizes inter-repair maintenance, timely and high-quality repair and modernization of hydraulic equipment, works on increasing its reliability and durability, technical supervision of the condition, maintenance, repair of major and minor equipment, ensures the rational use of materials for repair;
• Supervise adjustment and alignment, new equipment utilization, in equipment tests, in hydraulic equipment acceptance, in hydraulic equipment removal from operations;
• Examine equipment, separate units and component parts working condition, develop and make arrangements for unplanned equipment shut-down prevention, separate units and component parts service life, overhaul life extension, improve integrity of equipment, in service reliability improvement, arrange specialized repair on the rig;
• Takes part in equipment excessive wear, down time root causes investigation, in incidents investigation, in development and implementation of liquidation and prevention activities;
• Maintain control for equipment installation, proper equipment storage at warehouse, check and provide lifting and other equipment to government technical control in time;
• Improve service treatment of operating equipment, repair and preventative maintenance arrangement based on labor mechanization and advanced technologies application, subordinates work management improvement;
• Fulfill requirements for PTW permit to work as required to perform duties;
• Fulfill requirements to safely perform isolations of equipment following the Lock Out Tag Out guidelines and procedures;
• Responsible to service, maintain and diagnose symptoms on the drilling rig equipment; Responsible for rigging up/down the drilling rig as applicable;
• Ensure that all maintenance-related procedures are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with the regulations of the company and accordingly with good engineering practices
• Responsible for creating and requesting materials using approve company Field Requests forms to the maintenance supervisor for review and further processing; Responsible for carrying out any and all work as assigned;

Overview & Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Plans, supervises, and controls the activities of assigned personnel for efficient, safe and profitable operation under the direction of the general foreman and shop manager. The mechanical shop supervisor is to execute a daily work
schedule with the proper systems and priority for mechanical operations in the shop. The position also ensures that the correct job-related information and facilitates the necessary resources to complete the required tasks. The shop
supervisor enforces plant rules, motivates and mentors direct reports, handles minor personnel issues, monitors scrap/rework/warranty, assists with proposal generation and provides technical expertise to ensure quality/safety on
all projects.

BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in the field of turbomachinery repair.
• Minimum of five years’ work experience in manufacturing, repair and assembly of turbomachinery.
• Detailed working knowledge of shop practices, repair, safety, personnel, and administrative procedures.
• Technical ability to make decisions and direct assigned personnel to perform required assignments.
• Excellent supervisory and communication skills

NATURE OF THE JOB

This position exists to direct the daily activities of 5 - 10 mechanics in the tasks of turbomachinery assembly, disassembly, inspection and repair. The mechanical supervisor must control quality/safety/efficiency issues in his/her area of responsibility by motivating, mentoring and monitoring employees. Excellent communication and managerial skills are required to keep each stakeholder informed of developments with individual projects, changes to standard procedures and potential quality/delivery/safety issues. The mechanical supervisor must work closely with other functional areas of the shop including the machining cell and project managers to control production.

CONTACT WITH OTHERS

• This position is required to interact with all levels of personnel and departments within the company. The most frequent internal contacts are direct reports, general foreman, shop manager, other supervisors, field service representatives and project managers.
• This position will have frequent customer contact when witnesses are embedded in the shop.
• Travel requirements are minimal (less than 5%).

SUPERVISION

This is a supervisory role with direct responsibility for Shop personnel and for the quality/safety/efficiency of their work. Performance evaluation, training, discipline and motivation of direct reports are all components of the position.
The shop supervisor must lead by example in terms of dependability, integrity, safety focus and technical skill. The incumbent is expected to provide leadership to Shop employees in other disciplines by scheduling their workload in
the absence of the other craft supervisors and by communicating effectively with supervision/hourly employees working other shifts.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES

• Directs, plans, and schedules the shop workload as controlled by customer contract requirements.
