The role supports Operations & Maintenance by focusing on predictive and preventative maintenance, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

·        Reliability Engineering & Analysis

o  Develop and implement reliability and maintenance strategies to improve plant performance.

o  Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and propose corrective actions.

o  Analyze historical equipment data to identify failure patterns and recommend interventions.

·        Maintenance Planning & Optimization

o  Collaborate with Operations & Maintenance teams to define maintenance schedules for critical assets.

o  Evaluate the effectiveness of preventative maintenance programs and adjust as needed.

o  Provide input on equipment design and modification to enhance reliability and maintainability.

o  Provides engineering drawings/specifications; obtains construction bids; and performs construction management as required;

·     Process Strategy & Support

o  Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving throughput, recovery, and operational efficiency.

o  Support cross-functional teams in developing plans for capacity expansion or operational adjustments.

o  Implement asset management strategies aligned with ISO 55000 standards.

o  Make important equipment and infrastructure reliability recommendations required to support improving machine maintenance and reliability improvements to minimize operating cost and minimize production losses. This is a critical position as mistakes may result in direct production loss;

·        Data Analysis & Reporting

o  Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

o  Prepare and present reports on plant reliability performance to stakeholders.

o  Utilize advanced tools such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and reliability software for data-driven decision-making.

o  Performs all functions of RCA, FMECA, and Pareto analysis;

o  Provides data interpretation with recommendations on vibration analysis, oil analysis, wear materials non-destructive testing, gear wear monitoring/failure analysis and equipment failure history analysis.

o  Ensures that all work is properly documented, filed and recorded for future reference;

·        Continuous Improvement

o  Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, increase productivity, and lower operational costs;

o  Champion a culture of reliability excellence within the department;

• To manage, organise and control resources, expenditures and personnel within the workshop and site environment  
• Ensure team adherence to company policies and procedures 

• Assisting controlling Callidus jobs, placing orders, expediting spares, stock shipments, and document control and provide support to the supervisor to meet promised delivery dates.
• Carry out Work In Progress analysis and lead expediting actions to suppliers and subcontractors.
• Duties associated with the administrative area so as to make sure that all requirements are met and that these duties are completed according to the monthly financial calendar and client due dates.

Control all Callidus repair jobs, compile quotations, placing orders, expediting spares and provide support to workshop to help meet deadlines.
