Control Risks is currently looking for an experienced Country Security Advisor to be embedded with our client, a large energy-sector firm, based in Jakarta. This role will provide security expertise for the client's sites throughout Indonesia with locations in Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, and Kalimantan.
Role tasks and responsibilities:
- Provision of risk management expertise and guidance at a country level to GeoUnit MD and HSE Manager.
- To develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy that will allow the company to operate safely in country, providing for the optimum protection of employees, families, information and assets.
- Conduct regional and country risk assessments in conjunction with direct and functional managers.
- Analyze emerging risk trends and advise accordingly.
- Perform risk assessments of company locations to ensure that all existing and future locations have the optimum standard of risk controls to enable business to be conducted continuously in a safe and secure environment.
- To visit and audit all sites and locations to ensure on-going operations are conducted in a safe, secure manner as per guidelines.
- Monitor contract performance of the contracted man guarding providers through a clearly defined
- Ensure all security journey management is arranged and operations are optimized for secure and cost-effective service.
- Develop and implement emergency management team (EMT) training.
- To be an embedded pivotal member of the EMT and provide expert guidance in the event of activation.
- Establish and maintain liaison with other risk managers and diplomatic sources in-country.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in the security management industry or other security specialization.
- Strong ability to focus on customer service and to build trust and rapport with people from all cultures and backgrounds.
- Strong English language communication skills, both written and oral.
- Able to travel within region.
- Available to commence employment in Jakarta in January 2024.
