- Develops and implements legal procedures and policies to ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws
- Identifies and manages legal risks, and develops strategies to mitigate potential liabilities
- Provides legal guidance on a wide range of legal matters such as contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation, employment law, intellectual property and corporate governance.
- Manages litigation issues and represents the company in legal proceedings, working with outside counsel when required
- Provides advise in structuring, negotiating, and handling corporate actions, such as merger & acquisitions, join ventures, and strategic alliances.
- Stays up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations that will impact the organisation.
- Completes corporate secretarial responsibilities, such as the Board Meetings, Annual General Meetings, and others, including the preparation of notices, agendas, and minutes
- Work closely with the compliance and internal audit team in analysing and implementing relevant laws and regulations by providing updated agreements, company regulations, etc
