Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
a. Report to the Maintenance Support Supervisor or his delegate.
b. Ensure the serviceability and availability of ground support equipment (GSE) and facilities for effective support at base and line stations.
c. Consistent attention and implementation of maintenance program for all motorized and non-motorized equipment.
d. Accurate record-keeping is maintained for all equipment. Some equipment may require yearly calibration or inspection to validate its functions.
e. Ensure effective control of equipment usage and the tooling.
f. Ensure that defective equipment is repaired in the shortest time possible and in the most cost-effective manner.
g. Discuss any outsourcing of repair requirements in details such as integrity of vendors, quotations and facilities and efficiently.
h. Provide training for end-users on the proper handling of Ground Support Equipment and basic maintenance practices to enhance reliability.
i. Work with station engineering staff to develop essential support equipment or facilities to ease maintenance requirements.
j. Ensure that all ground support equipment and vehicles meet the requirements set out by regulation.
k. Ensure validation of certificate operation worthiness of ground support equipment operated by inform to respective department to renewal process.
l. Generate periodic reports on the status of the equipment, parts usage and relevant costing, tools and calibration notices.
m. Any other tasks as required by the Maintenance Support Supervisor.
QUALIFICATION (GSE)
a. Minimum 18 years old.
b. Holder of appropriate license.
c. Conversant with engineering procedure.
