At Moladin, we want to create impact and value by providing an amazing product experience. Product is at the core of our company. We want to build a simple and intuitive app, yet evolving to remain highly relevant for our users as well as business. As a UX Writer, you will be in charge of designing the communication throughout our digital products by collaborating with product management, engineering, and data teams. Collaborating with product designers, you will navigate the end-to-end design process, from understanding and defining the problem scoping, translating it to a copy/communication intent, exploring the alternatives of copy solutions, gathering necessary feedback for the proposed solutions, handover to the development team, safeguarding the copy implementation, and tracking the performance of the copy design. You will initiate necessary processes on your own and demonstrate strong practices in expected design competencies with minimal supervision while helping mentor other more junior writers to elevate their crafts as well.
Responsibilities
- Work with product designers and product managers to translate user needs and business requirements into a high quality design solution that drives great outcomes and impact.
- Ensure smooth users experience and clear understanding throughout Moladin digital products and systems by facilitating user navigation, onboarding, promos, notifications, error messages, instruction and education material regarding Moladin products through high quality copies.
- Gather necessary data and contextual information with the most appropriate methods to identify user problems or to inform the copy decisions, and come up with creative solutions for the intended problems based on the premises from user research insights, business requirements, technical constraints, etc.
- Create, craft, and deliver high quality copies that clearly communicate our design intention, incorporating Moladin's vision, tone of voice, and overall language and copywriting guidelines across products, as well as providing support documents such as release notes.
- Gather necessary feedback from the users and stakeholders to narrow down the copy solution alternatives and inform the copy decision.
- Ensure the quality of the copies by conducting final edits and audits, and safeguard the implementation of copywriting in the developed products.
- Build relationships with the product management, business, and engineering teams to better influence the communication design direction. Adapt to these stakeholder's feedback, and be ready to challenge an idea whenever necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of research, legal, and marketing to better understand our users and business needs.
- Work together with other UX Writers from different tribes to maintain copy consistency and quality across products, as well as contribute to creating, maintaining, improving and utilizing language and copy guideline documents.
- Create proper design documentation for each design project to store and easily share context.
- Mentor at least one of the junior writers to help ensure the growth in our team qualities.
- 3 – 5 years of experience as a UX Writer / Product Copywriter in product digital industries.
- Passionate about crafting clear communication for B2B products and systems. Being experienced in the Financing industry will be highly preferred, however having interest in learning about the Financing industry and all its terms will be a plus point.
- A portfolio that showcases high quality UX copywriting works (and its application of copywriting fundamentals, interaction design principles and human-centered design methodology), as well as evidence of performing in a multidisciplinary design, business, and tech team.
- Ability to understand the identified problem and to dissect it down to the root cause, in order to understand the appropriate solutions.
- Ability to draw insights from both qualitative & quantitative data, and further identify problem areas to work on.
- Advanced skills and knowledge in product design with extensive and demonstrated expertise in effective communication design, information architecture and hierarchy, and interaction design.
- Independence in navigating the end-to-end design process, from defining the design intent and problem scoping, exploring the alternatives of solutions, gathering necessary feedback for the proposed solution, handover to the development team, and tracking the performance of the released solutions.
- Experience in managing expectations of internal and external stakeholders, as well as the ability to form consensus across a broad, fast-moving organization through excellent communication and interpersonal skills (including: negotiation, constructive feedback, presentation, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts).
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Indonesian.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure, high ambiguity environment, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
