ABOUT THE ROLE
- Draw up Customs Declarations
- In compliance with the regulations, accept and check the instructions, information, and documents that are required for performing the customs declaration
- Determine and assign a tariff classification, where permitted, based on regulations and customs procedures, to enable duties and taxes (the customs payment) to be calculated
- Confirm documentation required for the appropriate customs procedure
- Enter and submit the declaration in the internal and/or external system
- Obtain Export/Import customs declaration final validation by exporter/importer before filling to customs
- Transmit through EDI final Customs declaration
- Check and monitoring the customs response and provide the latest status to Customs Compiler
- Provide all the information required by the customs authorities: act as an intermediary between the company and the customs authorities
- In the event of an inspection or physical check of goods, provide the necessary documents and declaration to the customs compiler
- Advise on the implementation of customs compliance rules, particularly FTA’s
- Provide recommendations and advice regarding our position and/or decisions on customs and formalities for the international movement of goods with customers or internal members of staff
- In the event that a customer rejects our proposed standpoint relating to the customs tariffs, record the rejection, and the final decision of the customer
- Responsible for Data quality and data integrity pertaining to customs activities
- High School Diploma or higher Bachelor Degree from recognized university or relevant qualification
- Hold Customs Broker/PPJK certificate is a plus
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a fast paced, dynamic and or multi-cultural MNC environment in Logistics/Freight Forwarding/PPJK company
