We are currently seeking to onboard dynamic and talented E&P Analysts to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. Job description
As an E&P Research Analyst at Rystad Energy, you will be engaged in a comprehensive range of responsibilities that are pivotal to our business analysis cycle and client engagements. Your role will encompass:
- Full Cycle Business Analysis: Engage in industry-specific data research, construct high-end analytical models, and work closely with our team members in Jakarta and clients worldwide.
- In-Depth Industry Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of oil and gas assets globally. This includes examining reserves, production, and financial and operational forecasts.
- Valuation Exercises: Conduct bottom-up valuations at both field and portfolio levels.
- Expenditure Analysis and Forecasting: Analyze and forecast capital and operating expenditure trends.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Verify and correct project life cycles, whether in production, under development, or discovery stages. This also involves tracking the portfolio of various companies.
- Comparative Market Analysis: Perform comparative analysis of the company’s NPV against its market capitalization. Also, compare merger and acquisition transactions against a comprehensive transaction database.
- Fiscal Regime Analysis: Analyze the tax regime in relevant business regions and assess its impact on economic forecasts.
- Content Creation and Presentation: Write insightful commentaries and actively participate in webinars to discuss industry trends.
- Client and Team Support: Provide robust support to our clients, consultants, and business development teams.
In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the analytical foundation that supports our clients' decision-making processes in the energy sector.
Experience & Skills
- Open exclusively to candidates who are either currently enrolled at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) or who graduated in the year 2023. This initiative is part of our commitment to nurturing local talent and expertise
- Possession of a university degree in a data-driven field such as Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or Finance/Business. A Bachelor's Degree is required, with an MBA or Master's degree considered an additional asset
- Demonstrated solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in reservoir and GnG modelling, database design development, Power BI, and Python, will be considered a plus
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia, with demonstrable strong writing skills
- Candidates should be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Only applicants with Indonesia working rights will be considered for this role
