- Achieve sales and profit targets
- Contribute to and support pricing plans; manage distributor rebates
- Implement customer incentive plans
- Implement sales campaigns
- Ensure effective management of 'pull' programs at farm level in accordance with channel management strategy
- Ensures compliance with Syngenta policies, HSE requirements, local legislation and competition law
Overarching Accountabilities
- Ensure that all relevant Syngenta policies are well understood and implemented by the sales team and where necessary customers
- Defend and promote the image of Syngenta, represent the company in a professional way
- Directs the quota setting process of direct reports, evaluates results throughout the year to ensure attainment of overall revenue budget
- Reviews and inform the business regarding market trends, product needs and competitive environment
- Implements the sales strategy within assigned geographical area or channel
- Implements initiatives that secure sales of defined products
- Reviews operational activities to ensure optimal resource utilization
- Responsible for developing and coaching sales managers, continuously enhancing leadership skills as well as broadening business knowledge terms and conditions, may manage channel relationships
- May contribute to Budgeting process, Marketing process, or to drive other corporate level projects.
