About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for verifying and managing all aspects of the costing and financial management of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards of quality. Your expertise in cost verification, budget management, and contract administration will be key to the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Duties and DelightsÂ
- Verify and validate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects prepared by the estimator, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Plan and manage the quality of, budget, and time schedule of the project.
- Monitoring progress of the project, implementation of the scheme on site, and ensuring works are completed to a high standard.
- Prepare and analyze accurate financial project reports and documentation related to construction projects.
- Collaborate with project teams (Designer, Procurement, Site Manager, Contractor Partners, etc) to ensure that projects are completed on time and within the budget provided by the Project Coordinator.
- Provide advice and support to project managers on cost-related matters based on the calculations.
- Conduct regular project meetings to monitor progress and identify any issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to construction cost management.
- Act as a liaison between the project team and external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies, to ensure that all cost-related requirements are met.
- Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to enhance the overall efficiency of our construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
- Min 4 years experience as a Project Coordinator/Assistant Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and Fit-Out project flow.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
