Some of your duties will include:
· To supervise and direct the activities of company maintenance (electrical - electrician) personnel
· To ensure that adequate resources are available to meet production and maintenance needs
- Reports all accidents and incidents in the work group to enable management to identify areas for improvement in work practices.
- Communicates work group status to supervisor and interfaces with other departments.
- Supervise employees of the unit/work group to ensure that all jobs are completed to the required standard.
- Plan the daily work schedule and order materials and parts required to enable client needs to be met and resources used efficiently.
- Liaise with and coordinate field and workshop activities with other maintenance supervisor, planners and production personnel to resolve problems and set maintenance priorities.
- Schedules work orders, preventive maintenance, equipment, employee vacations and training.
· Identify training needs and recommend on the job training or basic training programs to improve work group effectiveness and safety
· Manage and develop staff including setting objectives, performance management, training & coaching, succession plan, and handling industrial issues
· Liaise with and coordinate field and workshop activities with other maintenance supervisor, planners and production personnel to resolve problems and set maintenance priorities
