Youtap Limited is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Software Release Manager to join our dynamic team. This critical role involves managing the software release process, ensuring that high-quality and compliant software products are released on schedule. The Software Release Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to coordinate releases and maintain the integrity of our software products.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and coordinating software releases, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Collaborating with product managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of release requirements and timelines.
- Overseeing the build and deployment process, ensuring that all releases are executed smoothly and efficiently across all environments.
- Monitoring and documenting the release process, establishing best practices for release management.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with the release process, proactively addressing potential issues that may impact software delivery.
- Communicating release schedules and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.
- Implementing automation tools and practices to enhance the release process and improve efficiency.
- Facilitating release retrospectives and team meetings to continuously improve the release process.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry trends and advancements in release management methodologies.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software release management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycles and release management processes.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and practices, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Proficiency with release management tools and technologies (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, GitLab).
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple release cycles simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address issues proactively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to achieving high-quality software releases.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements in the software industry is a plus.
