Our organization is seeking an outgoing, motivated Event Sales Manager to fill our venue calendar. In this role, your primary tasks will involve connecting with potential clients and negotiating their contracts. This is a performance-based sales position that gives you the opportunity to capitalize on your own success.
Responsibilities for event sales manager
- To sell events and to manage and drive the event sales team to achieve revenue targets.
- Determine sales goals
- Build and maintain customer relationships
- Serve as our primary point of contact for large events and parties
- Negotiate contracts and assist with accounts receivable
- Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials
- Develop promotions or specialty packages to entice new customers
REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a related field preferred
- Must have 5 years of experience in sales
- Must have experience as an event sales executive or manager for a minimum of 3 years
- Career fair, education fair, or other related Industry experience a plus
