Successful candidate will lead daily payment operations and are passionate about ensuring the operations of our fast-growing business run smoothly. He/she will have an eye for details and ability to get things done quickly, whilst at the same time making improvements to continually enhance and streamline operations. He/she will be leading a team of Senior Executives and Executives across the APAC region with markets Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and reporting to the Head of FinOps.
What will you do :
- Be in charge of day-to-day operations to ensure payouts, refunds and reconciliation of payments is done on time and is 100% accurate.
- Supporting Head of Finops with new markets expansion
- Leading a team of regional Senior Executives and Executives
- Ensuring team members are up to date with product knowledge accuracy, process adherence and SLAs including providing constant internal training and maintaining daily resource planning with the team
- Lead monthly financial and regulatory reporting for our payment partners and regulatory bodies, including assisting with internal and external audit requirements
- Manage day-to-day relationships with our third party operational partners (banks, network partners, payment processors and other fintechs), including maintenance of internal policies / SOPs and knowledge base of policy changes across partners.
- Being the payout approval point and escalation point for all funding and payment issues and providing clear decision making process maintaining accuracy. Raising complex issues to the Head of FinOps.
- Being the sole point of contact for daily operations across FinOps and cross teams (product, data, commercial, marketing, compliance, customer success, etc)
- Work closely with product and technical teams to suggest and implement product design enhancements that will streamline and improve operations.
- Work closely with the compliance team to ensure adherence to our risk management framework to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal and external KYC requirements, and compliance with transaction monitoring guidelines.
- Create monthly analytical reports and insights on the company’s financial operations to guide strategy on margin improvements and pricing.
- Working with Data team to ensure reports and data sources are accurate and up to date
- Work cross functionally to support sales and marketing to deliver an exceptional user experience on CardUp.
- Lead feedback loop across teams maintaining data centricity to resolve operational gaps and recurring issues.
- At least 6 years of experience in an operations role within the payments / fintech sector
- Deep understanding of operations and data analytics, experience in payment processing a plus
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial mind set with drive and initiative to solve problems and get things done.
- Flexible and able to multi-task; fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment, driving toward clarity and solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks with short turnaround time.
- Excellent communication skills and personal qualities of integrity, credibility and quality.
- Strong command of the English language (written and verbal).
- Strong comprehension skills and high analytical abilities.
- Minimum BSc / BA, MBA a plus
- Team management experience is a bonus
