Responsibilities 

• Provide strategic counsel to clients and account team members. 
• Build and/or maintain client relationships at the highest standard of professionalism. 
• Must be pro-actively involved in current client activities; able to identify opportunities to organically grow business with current accounts; and able to identify potential risks and take appropriate action to retain or renew business. 
• Help clients demonstrate the value of PR within their own organizations. 
• Develop results-oriented strategic plans and lead ideation efforts to expand programs, resulting in maximum client satisfaction as well as in increasing agency revenues. 
• Mentor junior team members in the areas of strategic planning, editorial content development, ideation of content and media relations. 
• Prepare and manage client campaign budgets to keep costs within client's budget within agreed deliverables while ensuring that target agency revenues are met and that non-billable expenses are kept minimal. 

Cultivate and/or build new relationships with clients in order to grow new business efforts.

Grab’s Public Affairs team builds partnerships with the public sector in support of national policy agendas, engage constructively with government and other stakeholders on public policy discussions, and drive initiatives to harness the positive potential of technology to drive impact at scale across Southeast Asia.

The day-to-day activities:

• Develop group strategy and support strategy implementation for Grab’s Public Affairs country teams:
  • Work with Grab’s country public affairs teams to analyse and provide insights on public policy issues, develop positions and advocacy recommendations to advance Grab’s agenda
  • Develop and execute strategic action plans and initiatives related to Grab’s public affairs objectives
  • Orchestrate efforts across different Grab teams to develop and implement a coordinated and robust approach in business operations, to address public policy topics
• Co-drive efforts that seek to strengthen Grab’s thought leadership position on identified topics of interest amongst target public affairs stakeholders:
  • Support research on public policy issues that are at the intersection of technology and society
  • Work with other teams at Grab to execute campaigns that drive thought leadership and dialogues on key topics, e.g. through planning of dialogues, forums, roundtable discussions, policy programmes etc.
  • Develop effective thought-leadership platforms, and maintain a pipeline of digital content (e.g. policy position papers, publications, blog posts, podcasts, op-eds etc.) to catalyse conversations and foster meaningful engagements
• Advance strategic engagements and institutional relations for Grab:
  • Support the building of lasting relationships with external stakeholders that include, but not limited to, governments, policy-makers, academics, NGOs, tech policy representatives from the industry, thought-leaders etc. across Southeast Asia and globally
  • Seek out potential partnership opportunities that help Grab’s public affairs team build bridges between thought-leaders, catalyse new research collaborations, and stimulate lively conversations with the wider community on the intersection of tech and policy

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand the client's business objectives and communication strategy.

• Lead the team in daily deliverables and implementation while serving the client's needs.

• Assist in preparing communication plans and ensuring consistent implementation.

• Identify target audiences and analyze their characteristics, behavior, and content consumption habits.

• Research and identify relevant social influencers aligned with client's objectives.

• Maintain communication and relationships with media outlets and social influencers.

• Conduct research and analyze data using industry resources.

• Monitor and optimize campaign effectiveness.

• Maintain records and prepare periodic reports for assigned accounts.

• Planning, developing, and implementing all PR activities & strategies

• Min S1 majoring in Law (Civil Law or Business Law)
• Have an understanding of Civil Law, Business Law, Employment and Corporations
• At least have 3 years experience
• Able to coordinate with related colleague or divisions and good communication skills.
• Proficiency in English
• Likes administrative work, ability to prepare complex legal documents, ability to demonstrate high administering and documenting related to legal documentation.
• Have a good relationship with the government

Responsible:

• Contract review and Contract Drafting. E.g. customer contract, procurement contract, etc.
• Coordinate with colleagues for the management of permit and licenses owned / required by the Company
• Ensure all licenses and permits belonging to the Company are active
• Conducting predictions / surveys regarding any permits that can help the Company
• Assisting in handling legal issues against the Company
• Coordination with government agencies of various structures and levels e.g. Ministy of Health, Ministry of Environment, OSS, BKPM, etc.
• Coordination with external legal parties, e.g. Notary office, external lawfirm
• Research and evaluate legal issues and maintain current knowledge of regulation changes.
