What a Marketing Analyst does at Visa

The individual will be responsible for implementing client marketing VAS projects to our clients in Indonesia and delivering tactical marketing solutions by working closely with local and regional marketing teams, regional Partner Marketing Services team, Business Development team, Visa’s Consulting team, and external agencies.

There may also be some of the capacity of this role that will be dedicated to supporting the Indonesia marketing team on client events, merchandising, and other client marketing engagements.

The Analyst will report to the Head of Marketing, Indonesia, and based in Jakarta.

Key Responsibilities

• Bring the “best of Visa” marketing to our key clients and work cohesively with Visa marketing community locally, regionally, and globally, as well as the local Indonesia Business Development, Visa Consulting and Business Development teams.
• Be responsible for implementing Marketing VAS projects and handling co-marketing client engagements with local Visa Client Marketing team and Business Development Teams.
• Work closely with all relevant marketing and finance teams, locally and regionally, and external agencies to ensure the effective and timely delivery of revenue and margins associated to Marketing VAS commitments.
• Take charge of administrative deliverables related to client marketing project management and VAS including but not limited to marketing approvals, procurement processes, contract management and VIK process management in full compliance with Visa’s policy and process.
• Be responsible to support marketing related activities in cross-functions / company events as assigned and upon business context and requirements (client forums, client events, merchandising, and other client marketing engagements). Participate in the internal business agenda and activities cross-functionally as assigned and act as Visa’s brand custodian to ensure all marketing materials adheres to internal branding guidelines.

• Develop communications programs that demonstrate the value of Visa to everyone, everywhere
• Lead the development and delivery of informative and engaging employee communications activities including employee communications programs and staff volunteering events

• Support the execution of Visa’s media relations programs across the markets including:
  • Developing the strategy and managing the execution of media engagements
  • Identifying and maximizing opportunities to enhance Visa’s profile in the media 
  • Developing content to promote Visa’s brand, technical and industry leadership, new products and services
  • Establishing and maintaining close relationships with journalists across general, business, lifestyle and technology media 
  • Ensuring spokespeople are well briefed and trained to deliver key messages
  • Ensuring Visa’s senior management are seen as trusted authorities by the local media
  • Creating opportunities for the Country Manager and other key management to obtain high, positive profiling in top tier broadcast, print and digital media 
• Provide executive communication support to the Country Manager across a variety of internal, external, client, and media communications opportunities  
• Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure corporate communications and marketing programs are aligned and a coordinated approach is being taken to leverage Visa’s assets across the markets 
• Partner with Visa’s in-market PR agency to successfully deliver communications programs across the region
• Work with the Government Engagement function to support Visa’s public policy position 

Job Description

Identify business opportunity by performing assessment based on VisaNet data and any external data (Euro Monitor, etc) to analyze the acceptance penetration, distribution across segment & geography. This will include ad-hoc analysis as per of internal and external client request as per business dynamics.

• Supporting the business team to develop the business case & proposal and the execution, including contract management, verification and validation program result, reporting, monitoring and reviewing the program result against target. Including, Performance Dashboard, Reporting Requirement and Quarterly Business Review, both internally and externally.
• Working closely with Finance and Operation for budgeting, forecast and expense management (including payment processing, PR/PO)
• Supporting the team to ensure compliance with the policies & procedures. Including managing IAP end-to-end processes, both for internal and external stakeholders.
• Managing and deepening key acquirers relationship, including key merchants and 3rd party enablers (Payment Facilitators, Payment Gateway, etc) to support client’s and Visa’s growth. Developing Account Plan, identifying strategic opportunities and Visa’s capabilities to address client challenges and goals in order to increase Visa penetration.
• Managing acceptance special project which could include pricing, interchange and solution deployment.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Work with and support the Head of Country Marketing in the strategic development and seamless execution of key consumer and customer marketing programs.

Consumer/Strategy

• Supporting the execution of consumer marketing campaigns

• Supervising Indonesia social agency in the execution of social content production

• Preparing regular competitive review, and conducting desktop research on consumer, market/industry, and current trends

• Leading the production of POSM and merchandising, and supervising the POSM placement

• Leading Visa Indonesia Website and offer page maintenance

Customer

• Supporting the relationship and executions of co-marketing campaigns with Visa Client banks, which utilizing Visa global (FIFA, Olympic) and regional sponsorship (Shanghai Fashion Week, Wellington on a Plate, Taronga Zoo, etc.) assets, as well as Client-led events

• Leading marketing projects revenue reporting

• Leading the production of EDMs of Visa offers for distribution to Visa Client banks.
