About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator Lead to oversee and drive our estimating operations. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing accurate cost estimates, managing estimating processes, and guiding the financial planning of major construction projects. You will work closely with Product, field, and operations teams, ensuring estimates are precise, competitive, and aligned with project goals, playing a pivotal role in the success of our construction ventures.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and specialized estimating software such as AMODA systems.
- Develop and standardize unit pricing models to ensure consistency in cost assessments across projects.
- Collaborate closely with architects, project planners, operations teams, and contractors to solve design challenges, offer technical guidance, and ensure seamless project delivery.
- Review and refine estimates to optimize cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality and project scope.
- Ensure well-organized, comprehensive, and easily accessible project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and cost breakdowns.
- Train and mentor junior estimators, fostering continuous improvement in estimating practices.
- Minimum 4 years of construction experience required; a degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of architectural and engineering design principles.
- In-depth knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities with a focus on problem-solving and cost optimization.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to maintain meticulous records and cost data.
