Research: Research the costs of materials, equipment, transport, and labor
Analyze: Analyze the project design and determine how much of each material is needed
Plan: Use planning and scheduling software to estimate timescales
Communicate: Communicate with clients, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project
Prepare: Prepare quotes, cost summaries, and bills
Monitor: Monitor projects to ensure costs are in line with forecasts
Adjust: Adjust cost estimates when plans change, or when the availability of materials or labor changes
Report: Prepare reports about expenses for the duration of the project
Visit: Visit job sites to analyze blueprints and plans
