Amartha is embarking on an exciting new journey and seeks experienced engineers to collaborate with senior management, existing engineers, and the product team in shaping the next wave of innovative product offerings. The goal is to ensure Amartha leapfrogs into the next phase of its journey.
As a Lead Mobile Engineer, you will play a key role in leading the mobile engineering team, designing and developing high-performance mobile applications, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive development goals, mentor junior engineers, and explore new technologies to continuously improve our product offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of Mobile Engineers, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and code reviews.
- Design and build advanced applications for the Mobile platform.
- Collaborate with the engineering team from planning to execution in achieving development goals.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Ensure that all service delivery is scalable and secure.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting them for architectural review.
- Experienced as a Lead Mobile Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Proven working experience in software development, with one or more published Android apps on the Play Store.
- Experience in Native Mobile Development using Flutter.
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Proven experience in writing readable code, creating extensive documentation for existing code, and refactoring previously written code.
- Familiarity with secure engineering practices.
- Strong exposure to Financial Technology is a plus.
- Strong exposure to Firebase Analytics & Firestore is a plus.
