Purpose of Project

The overall purpose of the anticipated USAID/Indonesia Monitoring, Evaluation, Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (MECLA) Activity is to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency of the USAID Mission in Indonesia, its implementing partners (IPs), and stakeholders in achieving and reporting results through the use of empirical data/information and adaptive management. Position Description

LINC is seeking a Senior Performance Monitoring Specialist for the anticipated USAID-funded MECLA Activity in Indonesia. The Senior Performance Monitoring Specialist will provide overall technical direction on performance monitoring for the USAID/Indonesia Mission and its partners. This is a proposal position contingent upon USAID award.

Responsibilities

• Oversee performance and context monitoring support services for USAID/Indonesia, including support for developing the CDCS, collecting data for the performance management plan and to monitor other USAID initiatives, ensuring data quality, and supporting portfolio review and reporting.
• Provide MEL technical assistance and training to USAID implementing partners on developing theories of change, activity MEL plan development, monitoring systems and processes, data quality assessments, and research, data collection, and reporting practices.
• Provide clear visualizations of context and monitoring data.

• Master’s degree in international development, economics, statistics, political science, monitoring and evaluation, or a related field.
• Minimum of eight years of demonstrated experience in performance monitoring on USAID projects.
• Familiarity with USAID policies related to evaluation and performance management.
• Prior experience working in Indonesia required.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia required.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage one specific product line within the Business Unit
• Promote, train, and support the sales force

Front Office Operation

• Assist guests with check in and checkout, as well as other cashiering duties
• Review arrival lists and prepare compendiums prior to guests’ arrival and check-into system if necessary
• Welcome guests on arrival, register and issue room keys according to departmental standards and procedures
• Ensure that members consistently receive all benefits, and repeat guests and other VIP’s receive special recognition and service. Prepare and send welcome cards and amenities to room prior to guest arrival
• Liaise closely with other relevant departments to ensure that guests requests and needs are met
• Update and maintain repeat guest history system
• Promote Inter-Hotel sales and in-house facilities according to departmental standards to maximize revenue
• Handle guests’ complaints and comments tactfully and efficiently
• Handling guests’ mails, messages, and answering of phone calls
• Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all guests by ensuring that no details of the guests are disclosed
• Be vigilant in regard to in-house credit matters and act upon any discrepancies
• Alert Security or Duty Manager of suspicious looking person(s) / articles

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of all food & beverage services, outlets and hotel services/features
• Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
