Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced accountant to help run the finance function for Indonesia which contributes significantly to our South-East Asia region that covers Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam.

• Manage end-to-end financial accounting for Indonesia which includes performing month-end accounting closing, including but not limited to journal adjustments, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation schedules, revenue recognition reports.
• Preparation and submission of monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) and related schedules as a part of Group reporting. Presentation of results and providing clarifications to the Country/Regional business Leaders, as and when needed.
• Review vendor invoices and expenses processed by our offshore services team, and ensuring accounting is accurate and acceptable. Initiate vendor payments through internet banking.
• Review client invoices and credit notes with attention to values, timeliness of collections, associated costs in earning the revenue, potential accruals and deferrals of income.
• Responsible for filing sales tax returns (GST/SST/VAT/WHT). Working closely with the tax advisors to finalize tax computations and filing necessary tax returns.
• Interact with External Auditors for interim and annual audit – provide information and schedules for audit, drive efficiencies from the finance service provider and external auditors, and provide explanations to ensure smooth and timely audits.
• Assist with preparation of annual budgets, expense utilization run rates, submission of monthly P&L forecasts, timesheet and payroll cost monitoring.
• Preparation of cash flow statements on weekly basis, align with business teams and credit control team to execute related strategies from senior management.
• To become the finance systems’ champion and a finance subject matter expert to our business teams in SEA. Perform any other finance tasks as assigned from time to time by the Senior Manager.

This position is responsible for assisting the Accounting Department in financial analysis, creating timely and accurate financial statements, reconciliation of accounts and financial reporting projects.

Essential functions

• Process month-end, quarter-end and year-end balancing and journal entries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year–end financial reports showing operating performance.
• Involvement in eliminations, consolidations and financial analysis of assigned business regions.

Knowledge and Experience

Diploma or Degree in Accounting or related filed

At least 3 years of experience in credit operations of similar size/style of hotel.

Proficient in PMS Opera and MS Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Presentable, well-groomed with leadership quality. 

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Work with regional financial management dept. to check all company’s financial and accounting operations to ensure correct financial statements on monthly basis.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reports (P&L and BS) and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action.
• In charge of company’s management rules, design internal procedures and related documents to ensure effective risk management and efficient workflow.
• Manage audit processes (Internal- and External audit) and ensure compliance with required standards on financial internal controls (J-SoX, US GAAP, IFRS, OGR) as well as provide compliance training to enhance employees’ understanding and attention to prevent any compliance issue.
• Provide accurate estimation of administrative expenditure to support management to plan yearly budget and quarterly forecast.
• Perform monthly balance sheet review and ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP and group requirements.
• Finance data maintenance related to general ledger in line with Omron Accounting policies and local compliance. Coordinate data alignment with OMCP.

• 5 – 10 years of practical experience in accounting or audit field.
• At least 4 years of demonstrated experience in internal control.
• Proven skills in process and compliance management
• Proven reporting and analytical skills
• Knowledge of relevant ERP systems (JD Edwards)
• Proficient in the English language, both written and verbal
• Excellent and effective communication skills.
• Have experience in handling corporate tax.
