The Assistant Security Manager ensures the safety, security, and well-being of residents, guests, and property within the establishment. They play a vital role in implementing and managing security protocols, procedures, and systems. They are responsible for supervising security personnel, monitoring access control, conducting regular security assessments, coordinating emergency response plans, and maintaining strong relationships with local law enforcement agencies. The Assistant Security Manager works diligently to create a secure environment where residents and guests can enjoy their stay with peace of mind, contributing to the overall reputation and success of the residences.

Responsibilities 

• Provide strategic counsel to clients and account team members. 
• Build and/or maintain client relationships at the highest standard of professionalism. 
• Must be pro-actively involved in current client activities; able to identify opportunities to organically grow business with current accounts; and able to identify potential risks and take appropriate action to retain or renew business. 
• Help clients demonstrate the value of PR within their own organizations. 
• Develop results-oriented strategic plans and lead ideation efforts to expand programs, resulting in maximum client satisfaction as well as in increasing agency revenues. 
• Mentor junior team members in the areas of strategic planning, editorial content development, ideation of content and media relations. 
• Prepare and manage client campaign budgets to keep costs within client's budget within agreed deliverables while ensuring that target agency revenues are met and that non-billable expenses are kept minimal. 

Cultivate and/or build new relationships with clients in order to grow new business efforts.

The day-to-day activities:

• Develop group strategy and support strategy implementation for Grab’s Public Affairs country teams:
  • Work with Grab’s country public affairs teams to analyse and provide insights on public policy issues, develop positions and advocacy recommendations to advance Grab’s agenda
  • Develop and execute strategic action plans and initiatives related to Grab’s public affairs objectives
  • Orchestrate efforts across different Grab teams to develop and implement a coordinated and robust approach in business operations, to address public policy topics
• Co-drive efforts that seek to strengthen Grab’s thought leadership position on identified topics of interest amongst target public affairs stakeholders:
  • Support research on public policy issues that are at the intersection of technology and society
  • Work with other teams at Grab to execute campaigns that drive thought leadership and dialogues on key topics, e.g. through planning of dialogues, forums, roundtable discussions, policy programmes etc.
  • Develop effective thought-leadership platforms, and maintain a pipeline of digital content (e.g. policy position papers, publications, blog posts, podcasts, op-eds etc.) to catalyse conversations and foster meaningful engagements
• Advance strategic engagements and institutional relations for Grab:
  • Support the building of lasting relationships with external stakeholders that include, but not limited to, governments, policy-makers, academics, NGOs, tech policy representatives from the industry, thought-leaders etc. across Southeast Asia and globally
  • Seek out potential partnership opportunities that help Grab’s public affairs team build bridges between thought-leaders, catalyse new research collaborations, and stimulate lively conversations with the wider community on the intersection of tech and policy

MidPlaza Holding is seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Manager. As the Legal Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters for the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing legal advice and guidance to the management team. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, managing contracts and license, resolving disputes, litigation, and supporting business transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to handle complex legal issues.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal guidance and support to senior management and various departments within the organization.
• Advise on legal issues related to corporate governance, compliance, contracts, IPR, employment law, M&A and other areas relevant to the business.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Develop and implement compliance programs, conduct compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant.
• Assist with corporate governance matters, including board meetings, annual reports, corporate filings, and compliance with corporate governance best practices.
• Assess potential litigation risks, oversee and manage litigation matters, and develop legal strategies.
• Manage the organization's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.
• Conduct intellectual property searches and assist with the registration and enforcement of IPR.
• Provide guidance on employment law matters and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to address legal issues and support business initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison between the legal department and other areas of the organization.
• Represent the organization in legal proceedings, negotiations, and interactions with external parties.

• Law degree from reputable school.
• Four to five years of relevant experience at prominent corporate law firms or in-house counsel, preferably in roles involving corporate law, contract negotiation, compliance, and risk management.
• Experience in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance can be beneficial.
• Strong leadership/managerial and communication skills.
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills as well as understanding of business principles and practices.
