Reporting to the Commercial Director, key responsibilities include:
- Stay informed on market trends, maintain a library of sales resources, and conduct ongoing market research
- Promote and solicit business through sales trips, community networking, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Oversee internal promotions, ensuring all marketing materials are up-to-date and aligned with management standards
- Coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping Departments to manage room reservations and customer inquiries
- Develop and execute direct mail campaigns in conjunction with the Public Relations Department to promote hotel facilities and events
- Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets
- Train and mentor junior sales team members, providing guidance on sales techniques and customer relationship management
- Analyze sales data and prepare regular reports for the Commercial Director, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to optimize pricing strategies and maximize occupancy rates
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand the property's network and generate new business opportunities
