Director of Marketing Communications

At Fairmont Jakarta, our Marketing Communications professionals are responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance the brand presence of the hotel, attract guests, and promote the various services and offerings. This role involves creating captivating content, managing digital platforms, coordinating promotions, and ensuring effective communication to engage both potential and existing guests. What you will be doing:

• Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative content for various marketing materials, including the hotel's website, social media platforms, email campaigns, brochures, advertisements, and press releases.
• Brand Messaging: Craft and maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all communication channels, reflecting the hotel's unique identity and values.
• Digital Marketing: Manage the hotel's online presence by overseeing social media accounts, website content, and online advertising to drive bookings and engagement.
• Promotional Campaigns: Plan and execute marketing campaigns, special offers, and packages to attract guests for events, holidays, and seasonal promotions.
• Event Promotion: Collaborate with the events team to promote weddings, conferences, meetings, and other events hosted by the hotel, both internally and externally.
• Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify and establish partnerships with local businesses, travel agencies, and influencers to expand the hotel's reach and attract new customers.
• Visual Content: Work with designers to create visually appealing graphics, photographs, and videos that showcase the hotel's amenities, rooms, and experiences.
• Public Relations: Manage relationships with media outlets, influencers, content creators and journalists to secure media coverage and press releases that highlight the hotel's achievements and offerings.
• Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market demands, and guest preferences to adapt marketing strategies effectively.

Opportunity

As a full-time on-site Social Media Manager located in Jakarta, you will be responsible for managing BIOTA’s social media presence and creating social media content to build brand awareness and engagement. You’ll play a key role in establishing BIOTA as a major brand and help support our social media community to achieve our big goals.

We’re looking for a creative and strategic storyteller who is excited to build BIOTA’s social media presence in this space and help us drive cultural connections with the brand within the market. We are looking for someone who has the ability to not only strategize but also produce social content, including being on-screen for videos and live content, to support our strategy. You must have design skills and experience creating static, text, video, and visual content across social media platforms. Comfort with on-camera work and content creation is essential, as you’ll also act as a content creator representing the brand.

Responsibilities

• Come up with innovative and creative solutions to position BIOTA as a thought leader in technology.
• Support with the development of our social media content calendar; develop and create content to support marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Act as a content creator, including being on-screen in videos and live content. Candidates should be comfortable in front of the camera and willing to create engaging, on-screen content to connect with our audience.
• Get hands-on with content creation (copy, statics, video) across our social media channels.
• Be a brand guardian for our social media content across all channels, ensuring we establish a strong tone of voice and represent our values.
• Interact and engage with our community on our social media channels.
• Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to produce high-quality visuals and campaigns.
• Analyze performance using tools like Meta Business Suite and Google Analytics to improve reach and engagement.
• Monitor social media trends and the competitive landscape to create strategic decisions for Canva’s brand in the local market.
• Stay updated on platform trends, algorithms, and best practices to optimize strategies.
• Partner with influencers and content creators to expand brand reach and credibility.

• 2-4 years of proven experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably in the consumer electronics or technology industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.
• Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and audience behavior.
• Experience in social media content strategy, execution, and content creation, including being on-screen for videos and live content.
• A creative thinker with hands-on experience creating content for brands with basic video editing skills.
• Experience with social media management tools (Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Google Suite, Google Analytics, Looker)
• Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage complex and competing priorities
• Expert knowledge of all social media networks, and how best to leverage them.
• Able to balance the big picture with short-term needs and initiatives.
• A self-starter with tenacity for execution and delivery, with the ability to adapt quickly to market trends and business priorities.
