New Energy Nexus is an international organization that supports clean energy start-ups through funding, accelerator programs, and networks. We started our program in California and now have operations in New York, China, India, Southeast Asia, and East Africa.
In Indonesia, New Energy Nexus conducts its activities through PT. New Energy Nexus Indonesia to support the next generation of clean energy and climate solutions innovators, startups, and entrepreneurs in Indonesia. The objective of New Energy Nexus Indonesia is to position itself as a premier organization and a thought leader dedicated to fostering and investing in clean energy and climate solutions startups across Indonesia. Our primary objective is to have a significant impact on the nation's transition towards a thriving net zero economy.
New Energy Nexus Indonesia consists of three main activities:
- Startup Incubation and Acceleration: support aspiring innovators, startups, and entrepreneurs throughout Indonesia in cultivating their innovative clean energy and climate business concepts and bringing them to market
- Stakeholder outreach, engagement, and advocacy: facilitate interactions and collaborations between entrepreneurs, partners, and diverse stakeholder groups to effectively communicate and highlight the significant advantages of clean energy and climate entrepreneurship
- Fund: provide grants, pre-seed, and seed funding to startups in our programs.

The Candidate:
We are looking for someone passionate about supporting potential policymakers toward the clean energy transition, has project management experience, and is a driven individual.
Key roles and responsibilities
- Support the Manager of Policy Analyst in carrying out activities related to policy analysis
- Conduct policy research/analysis, focusing on green entrepreneurship in the energy sector
- Writing research reports, white papers, and communication materials to disseminate research findings
- Conduct interviews, audience, and forums with relevant stakeholder
- Support stakeholder engagement activities and contribute to campaign activities aimed at promoting green entrepreneurship in Indonesia
- Monitor green entrepreneurship issues in Indonesia
- Collect and set up the database
- Passionate about energy policy, startups, cleantech, and climate issues.
- Fresh graduate from STEM, public policy, or law are preferred.
- Demonstrating a solid understanding of both energy transition issues and clean energy entrepreneurship.
- Experience with organizing professional events and implementing marketing, communication, and social media activities.
- Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with government officials, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficiency in key energy-related policies such as RUEN/RUED, RPJMN/RPJMD, and RAN/RAD GRK for the Energy Sector, etc. is preferred.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, including the ability to write reports/ technical/ briefing/ policy papers is preferred.
- Professional English and Bahasa both written and oral.
- Good interpersonal and social skills.
- Independent and adept at working in a multicultural environment.
