Objectives of this role

• Developing and implementing robust security strategies and policies to protect the company’s assets, employees and facilities.
• Assessing potential risks and vulnerabilities, investigating security breaches and reinforcing appropriate measures to mitigate them.
• Leading and managing a team of security personnel, including hiring, training and performance management.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of security requirements into business processes and projects.

The Assistant Security Manager ensures the safety, security, and well-being of residents, guests, and property within the establishment. They play a vital role in implementing and managing security protocols, procedures, and systems. They are responsible for supervising security personnel, monitoring access control, conducting regular security assessments, coordinating emergency response plans, and maintaining strong relationships with local law enforcement agencies. The Assistant Security Manager works diligently to create a secure environment where residents and guests can enjoy their stay with peace of mind, contributing to the overall reputation and success of the residences.

• Ensure the effective implementation of all operational security procedures within the hotel.
• Assist the Security Manager in management and security oversight of all contractors, suppliers or vendors working on property.
• To maintain a close dialogue and relationship with local security authorities.
• Ensure that security officers provide a courteous and professional service to all customers, staff, vendors and suppliers.
• To monitor the car-park system and ensure its smooth running and security
• To vet the daily functions and VIP arrival list and to ensure that security officers are deployed as appropriate
• To account for the master keys of the property and their movements as well as key control in general.
• To keep the hotel senior management informed on all matters relating to the Security aspects of the hotel on a daily basis.

Primary Responsibilities

Security Operation

• Train Security Officers in the operation of surveillance equipment, written reports, record keeping, patrol and first aid procedures
• Disseminate all information by the Management to team members
• Conduct patrols and regular checks on all Security Officers to assure that they are alert and discharging their duties efficiently and effectively
• Conduct all criminal investigations, put up accompanying investigation papers and reports cases which occur within the Hotel
• Conduct surveillance on hotel staff to ensure that they abide by the House Rules; Keep tag on movements of staff who are classified as suspects under investigations
• Control and direct all emergency personnel traffic in response to fire, bomb threat, police assistance, injury or illness
• Inspect all Security equipment to ensure that they are in working order and that all cameras are correctly focused
• Conduct routine day-to-day checks of the following items to ensure that they are properly maintained, issued and accounted for;
  • Pocket books;
  • Security Desk Occurrence Book;
  • Gate Passes and Security Passes;
  • Keys and Key Registers;
  • Post allocation for hotel and External Security
• Cultivate Informers with the intention of obtaining information of security interest that may be of immediate or future use to the Department for prevention and detection purposes
• Record all activities involving the Department in the Daily Security Report
• Provide security coverage for VIP guests
• Update General Manager constantly on all matters of security interest affecting the Hotel and the Department
• Always be on-call, including off-duty hours, for any emergency that may arise

Team Management

• Conduct performance review with the team
• Identify and develop team members with potential
• Constantly monitor team members’ appearance, attitude and degree of professionalism
• Conduct detailed induction programs for new employees
• Develop, conduct maintain all staff training programs for team members, focusing on their development needs, providing them with new skills to meet the changing needs of the business
• Prepare weekly staff schedules keeping in mind anticipated business, operating budgets and standards of service

Other Responsibilities

• Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
• Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
• Report for duty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at all times
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel

Main Complexity/Critical issues in the Job

Maintain highest standards of security within the hotel premises. Be vigilant and react fast when situations arise.

1. Complete the handling of cases that occur based on claims from external parties or internal conflicts.

2. Resolving cases at the police, prosecutor's office and court levels, both criminal and civil cases.

3. Present as a representative of the company in invitations or summons for both litigation and non-litigation related to the handling of cases that occur

4. Carry out asset monitoring activities and coordinate and provide support with relevant departments to anticipate potential or handle legal problems that occur within the company.

5. Analyze and provide legal opinions on cases/problems that occur in the Company

6. Carrying out administrative duties in the Litigation Department.

• Responsible for the entire operation, staff and equipment of the Security Department.
• Delegate to supervise the entire manager section within the Department, and to assist them in preparing work schedules.
• Maintain a Hotel logbook on incidents, complaints etc. and refer them, if required to the appropriate department for follow up action.

•Assists the Management, employees, and guests in every way that is consistent with the protection and prevention objectives.

•Conduct ALERT program to educate employees on how to effectively respond to emergencies and incidents.

•Conduct all criminal investigations, put up accompanying investigation papers and reports cases which occur within the Hotel.

As the Legal Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters for the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing legal advice and guidance to the management team. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, managing contracts and license, resolving disputes, litigation, and supporting business transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to handle complex legal issues.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal guidance and support to senior management and various departments within the organization.
• Advise on legal issues related to corporate governance, compliance, contracts, IPR, employment law, M&A and other areas relevant to the business.

• Experience in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance can be beneficial.
• Strong leadership/managerial and communication skills.
