The Technician maintains and repairs the various technical systems and equipment within the residences. The Technician plays a crucial role in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems to ensure their proper functioning. They are responsible for conducting routine inspections, carrying out preventive maintenance tasks, and responding promptly to guest requests or emergencies. The Technician also assists in the installation and setup of new equipment and collaborates with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities without causing disruptions to guests. Their expertise and technical skills are essential in ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests, maintaining the high standards of the residences, and upholding its reputation for excellence in hospitality.

Operation

• Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance programs for the various systems such as (not limited to) the following : Air-conditioning & electrical, refrigeration, FLS equipment, building maintenance including furniture & fixtures, painting, parts renewal & repairs, kitchen and laundry equipment, low voltage (LV), guest rooms, F&B outlets, function/banquet areas, front/back of the house, plumbing & drainage
• Communicate with engineering management and team leader with regards to possible improvements to increase efficiency
• Co-ordinate and inform engineering management and team leader of any disruptions to service of any kind
• Always implement safe work practices, efficient methods, proper preventative maintenance and repair
• Develop skills through training and hands on experience
• Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times

• To be involved in day-to-day audit work on operation and to advice the Hotel Manager for any uncharacteristic happenings.
• To provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following ACCOR/FRS Standards of Performance.
• To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work to the standard set.
• To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub departments of the Admin & General Division or any other Department of the hotel as assigned.
• To perform all duties and tasks when rotated or assigned to another Department as per established standards for that Department.
• To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
• To assist authorized users in relation to operation of the hotel’s IT system hardware, various modules and supporting personal computers.
• To ensure that preventive maintenance required by any IT equipment in the hotel is carried out appropriately.
• To coordinate the timely repair and return to service of any faulty systems or items of equipment.
• To establish and implement procedures to ensure the backup of data in any IT system.
• To rebuild data corrupted by either hardware or software faults.
• To coordinate the investigation and timely handling of any software fault reports or enhancement requests.
• To set up emergency procedures to continue the operation of the hotel in the event of system failure.
• To provide manuals on the use of any IT systems and incorporate those manuals into the relevant operating procedures of the hotel.
• To arrange the distribution of Night Audit and other regularly system-produced reports.
• To establish necessary security measures to prevent unauthorized access to the IT systems.
• To provide technical assistance to internal or external Audit staff.
• To work with the Sales & Marketing Department and Operational Departments to set up and maintain clean relevant databases for management purpose.
• To ensure the continuous availability of a hierarchy to deal with an emergency in any essential IT system.
• To ensure the availability of any stationery or consumables required by any IT systems.
• To keep the software in the Property Management System up to the current release as instructed by the Regional IT.
• To advise the management of the hotel on additional facilities that could be provided by existing or further IT systems and technological advances.
• To ensure that all licenses and annual maintenance contracts are complete and up to date
• To prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with workload and priorities for the approval by the Hotel Manager
• To project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self control.
• To carry out quarterly, bi-yearly, yearly inventory of operating equipment.
