This position is to assist Assistant Chief Engineer during daily operation within Engineering 

What you will be doing:

• Provide advice to ACE of all aspects the maintenance support, environmental controls and operational efficiency of the property
• Contribute to the hotel’s profitability by ensuring the effective management of the buildings environmental controls and energy conservation systems
• Responsible for the proper organization and functioning of the energy management function of the POMEC Department
• Recycles where-ever possible and enforces cost saving

• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure standards are maintained for guest comfort.
• Prioritize and carry out maintenance as requested by departments on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running of all hotel departments.
• Record meter readings and liaise with the General/Hotel Manager regarding options to improve energy management and conservation in keeping with Gaia  Commitments.
• Be responsible for the testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting etc. on a routine basis as required by local Council and Fire Service.
• Liaise with the General/Hotel Manager and Regional Engineer regarding use of contractors within the Hotel, controlling expenditure and ensuring work is to the standard required by the company and manufacture specifications.
• Ensure the cost effective and hygienic removal of rubbish from the hotel areas and monitor to ensure areas are clear and free of offensive odor.
• Be available to carry out emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours, as required for full power failure, evacuation fire system re-set and/or failure of mechanical systems.
• Maintain records of repair work and daily checks as required by local Council, Government and Manufacturer specifications.
• Liaise closely with Front Desk and Housekeeping regarding out of service rooms to expedite a quick turn around and return to inventory.
• Ensure the external areas of the hotel are maintained in line with company brand standards.
• Research, recommend and liaise with the General Manager regarding procedures to improve the overall efficiency of the department and to carry out project work/prepare reports as requested by the General Manager.
• Ensure all staff are competent in the safe and effective use of equipment and chemicals in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Attend and actively participate in daily meetings respecting the confidentiality of issues, which may be discussed formally or informally.
• Prepare monthly Maintenance reports, commenting on key performance indicators and action taken to keep on target.

The Duty Engineer ensures the seamless operation and maintenance of all residences facilities and systems. This role involves overseeing daily technical operations, addressing and resolving maintenance issues promptly, and ensuring that all equipment and infrastructure meet the high standards of the brand. The Duty Engineer also collaborates with various departments to anticipate and resolve potential problems, conduct routine inspections, and manage emergency repairs. Their goal is to provide a consistently exceptional guest experience by maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment, all while adhering to the rigorous quality standards set by the residences. 

The Chief Engineer oversees and manages all aspects of engineering and maintenance operations within the Residences. They are responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning and upkeep of the Residences' physical infrastructure, including electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and other essential equipment. They collaborate closely with various departments to address any maintenance issues promptly and implement preventive measures to minimize disruptions. Additionally, the Chief Engineer plays a pivotal role in implementing sustainable and energy-efficient practices, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating major renovation or construction projects to maintain the residences' reputation for providing a superior residents experience. 

Report directly to the Duty Manager, the Guest Service Agent is directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the reception whilst on duty.

The Guest Service Agent is also to ensure that guests and visitors are made to feel comfortable and welcome “at home” on arriving and departing the Hotel.

Responsible for the supervision of driveway and daily operation and to ensure a consistently high standard of guest service.

Responsible for Information desk activities (including guest queries, information, mail, and messages).

Identify the person to whom he/she is speaking, and the subject of the request, and direct the guest accordingly.

Provide general information to customers and guests in a good and helpful manner.

Identify ways of increasing the Hotel’s overall profitability within the section.

Know how to explain the hotel and network pricing policy to guests.

Know how to present the sales pitch for the various network products and hotel services.

Systematically offer the hotel’s services to guests upon their arrival.

•Provide quality service to the customer by responding to their requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during check-in, check-out and throughout their stay.

•Maintain control of guest and hotel accounts ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis.

•Complete the daily shift check list, referring any items that require follow up to the Front Office Supervisor or Duty Manager.

This position is to organize and manage the Engineering team, perform administrative tasks and coordinate with the other departments. Monitor budget and control expenses within all areas of the department; as well participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial.

What you will be doing:

• Evaluate, control and record energy usage and implement and upgrade energy conservation systems
• Ensure the effective operation of all the mechanical and electrical systems and equipment by implementing and managing a preventative maintenance program
• Verify completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of the house spaces, and external areas. Verify completion of all repairs, replacement, and renovation works throughout the hotel

1. Guest Interaction:

   • Greet guests upon arrival at the hotel restaurant, bar, or café.

   • Assist with reservations, special requests, or specific dietary needs of guests.

4. Problem Solving:

   • Resolve guest complaints or service issues in a polite and efficient manner.
   • Offer alternatives, compensation, or special attention to maintain customer satisfaction.

5. Reservation Management:

   • Assist with managing restaurant reservations, ensuring efficient seating and minimizing wait times.
   • Confirm reservations and follow up as necessary.

6. Administrative Duties:

7. Promotions and Upselling:
