Executive Housekeeper
You are the cornerstone of our hotel's excellence! As an Executive Housekeeper, you will assume the responsibility of overseeing guest rooms, guaranteeing a pristine and inviting environment. What you will be doing:

• Compile and update Standard Operating Procedures for all areas of responsibility periodically
• Ensure that all auditing and reporting standards are conveyed to staff and adhered to
• Ensure that guests enjoy impeccable housekeeping product and that services offered by team members are offered in a timely manner
• Conduct quality control inspections of all areas of the hotel and share results with the team
• Work with Chief Engineer to maintain areas of the hotel to the highest standards and assist in scheduling periodic property maintenance followed by spring-cleaning
• Manage all outside contractors relating to his/her department ensuring that they follow all hotel policies
• Oversee operations of Laundry and Linen, Flower and Decoration, and Butler Service

• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure standards are maintained for guest comfort.
• Prioritize and carry out maintenance as requested by departments on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running of all hotel departments.
• Record meter readings and liaise with the General/Hotel Manager regarding options to improve energy management and conservation in keeping with Gaia  Commitments.
• Be responsible for the testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting etc. on a routine basis as required by local Council and Fire Service.
• Liaise with the General/Hotel Manager and Regional Engineer regarding use of contractors within the Hotel, controlling expenditure and ensuring work is to the standard required by the company and manufacture specifications.
• Ensure the cost effective and hygienic removal of rubbish from the hotel areas and monitor to ensure areas are clear and free of offensive odor.
• Be available to carry out emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours, as required for full power failure, evacuation fire system re-set and/or failure of mechanical systems.
• Maintain records of repair work and daily checks as required by local Council, Government and Manufacturer specifications.
• Liaise closely with Front Desk and Housekeeping regarding out of service rooms to expedite a quick turn around and return to inventory.
• Ensure the external areas of the hotel are maintained in line with company brand standards.
• Research, recommend and liaise with the General Manager regarding procedures to improve the overall efficiency of the department and to carry out project work/prepare reports as requested by the General Manager.
• Ensure all staff are competent in the safe and effective use of equipment and chemicals in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Attend and actively participate in daily meetings respecting the confidentiality of issues, which may be discussed formally or informally.
• Prepare monthly Maintenance reports, commenting on key performance indicators and action taken to keep on target.

Reservations Agent

What you will be doing:
Consistently offer exceptional, friendly and engaging service
Ensure the best selection for the guest and ensure revenue is maximized through up-selling
Recommend property facilities and assist guests with information and special requests
Book room reservation requests, enter rooming lists, and update accurate information in the system

To ensure that all of Hotel’s guests and visitors are greeted, attended to and assisted with a level of service that is professional, friendly and genuine.

Responsible and accountable for the loading and unloading of guest luggage from guest cars and directing guests to the car parking facilities available to guests and visitors of the hotel.

Responsible for welcoming of guests and escorting them to their Rooms where necessary, in a professional friendly and genuine manner.

Responsible for the timely and careful delivery and collection of guest luggage and belongings to and from Guest Rooms, cars and Reception.

Responsible and accountable for all operations in relation to the hotel vehicles whilst on duty. To ensure that vehicles are properly maintained.

Prepared and obtain any car bookings for the day.

To have a comprehensive knowledge of the neighborhood / city and what is happening within the city at all times, and to ensure that all guest inquiries are met with prompt, informative yet friendly solutions.
