MidPlaza Holding is seeking a Supervisor for Kitchen Maintenance to manage and oversee the maintenance operations of our kitchen facilities. In this vital role, you will ensure that all kitchen equipment is functioning efficiently and safely, extending the lifespan of assets through proper maintenance routines. Your leadership will guide the maintenance team to uphold high standards of cleanliness and operational readiness.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional advisory services and support to the Chief Construction MEP to help achieve the department's strategic objectives.
• Oversee and manage the Maintenance Request System.
• Control, initiate, and execute assigned capital projects, from design and pricing to construction and operation.
• Analyze, monitor, and maintain records related to utility costs throughout the kitchen.
• Supervise the overall cost control aspects of maintenance.
• Conduct routine inspections of kitchen equipment and ensure that inspections required by government authorities are performed and documented.
• Conduct general kitchen inspections and preventive maintenance inspections, including scheduling all such work.
• Manage and supervise the Fire Protection Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Inspect all fire safety and technical features to ensure they operate at maximum efficiency.
• Ensure that accurate records related to all machinery and equipment within the AYANA area are well maintained.
• Ensure appropriate measures are taken to protect the environment in accordance with local regulations and AYANA's compliance with them.
• Implement cost-effective Preventive Maintenance and Condition Monitoring Programs.
• Supervise the daily operations and maintenance of the building, electrical and mechanical services, water features, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
• Liaise with and oversee all on-site Property Maintenance Contractors, ensuring that appropriate standards are met.
• Carry out all emergency repairs for all technical equipment, general equipment, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure expenditures align with the department budget, capital plan, and projects.
• Participate in the development of the Strategic Business and Operational Plan.
• Prepare monthly projections/forecasts and reports.
• Attend meetings as necessary.
• Execute opportunities for quality Team Enhancement.
• Conduct development and performance reviews, identifying key personnel for further development and a structured career path.
• Implement and maintain a training system to ensure staff have the framework and skills necessary to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.
• Draft work schedules and annual leave schedules within the budget, business expectations, and applicable industry legal guidelines.
• Assist in the selection and appointment of new members within the department.
• Hold regular meetings with staff to keep all members fully informed.

• Minimum education of a vocational high school.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field (kitchen equipment and systems).
• Strong technical knowledge in kitchen equipment, electrical systems, and LPG systems.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance and condition monitoring.
• Financial skills, including expense control, monitoring financial procedures, and maximizing revenue through initiatives.
• Ability to plan and organize resources for various business levels, both short-term and long-term, to achieve strategic goals.
• Strong communication skills – must be able to speak, read, write, and understand both English and the primary language used in the workplace, ensuring effective information flow.

•Maintain and control hotel Information Technology such as internet, hotel computer system to ensure that all day to day operational matter is handled on time

•To ensure the departmental budget is adhered to in terms of expenditure by monitoring and controlling cost

•Maintain relationship with other department and management

• To be involved in day-to-day audit work on operation and to advice the Hotel Manager for any uncharacteristic happenings.
• To provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following ACCOR/FRS Standards of Performance.
• To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work to the standard set.
• To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub departments of the Admin & General Division or any other Department of the hotel as assigned.
• To perform all duties and tasks when rotated or assigned to another Department as per established standards for that Department.
• To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
• To assist authorized users in relation to operation of the hotel’s IT system hardware, various modules and supporting personal computers.
• To ensure that preventive maintenance required by any IT equipment in the hotel is carried out appropriately.
• To coordinate the timely repair and return to service of any faulty systems or items of equipment.
• To establish and implement procedures to ensure the backup of data in any IT system.
• To rebuild data corrupted by either hardware or software faults.
• To coordinate the investigation and timely handling of any software fault reports or enhancement requests.
• To set up emergency procedures to continue the operation of the hotel in the event of system failure.
• To provide manuals on the use of any IT systems and incorporate those manuals into the relevant operating procedures of the hotel.
• To arrange the distribution of Night Audit and other regularly system-produced reports.
• To establish necessary security measures to prevent unauthorized access to the IT systems.
• To provide technical assistance to internal or external Audit staff.
• To work with the Sales & Marketing Department and Operational Departments to set up and maintain clean relevant databases for management purpose.
• To ensure the continuous availability of a hierarchy to deal with an emergency in any essential IT system.
• To ensure the availability of any stationery or consumables required by any IT systems.
• To keep the software in the Property Management System up to the current release as instructed by the Regional IT.
• To advise the management of the hotel on additional facilities that could be provided by existing or further IT systems and technological advances.
• To ensure that all licenses and annual maintenance contracts are complete and up to date
• To prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with workload and priorities for the approval by the Hotel Manager
• To project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self control.
• To carry out quarterly, bi-yearly, yearly inventory of operating equipment.
