This role will be part of the Finance team supporting the Seeds business and will experience a critical role for our business.

The purpose of the role is to support areas of the business, providing financial insight, ensuring financials are accurate and in line with short- and long-term objectives. In addition to collaborating with other areas of finance and business functions to ensure the comprehensive sustainability of the business.

Accountabilities:

Support Seeds Finance BP to manage day to day business review
To act as support (business analysis) to the Seed Development & Commercial Veg Team, working closely with the Seed Finance Lead.
To run the key reporting processes to ensure timely completion of budget, forecast and actual information requirements, meet agreed group deadlines.
Close collaboration and coordination with Seed Finance Lead and Regional/Other Reporting teams (i.e. GFO).
Engagement with Seed Development organization to understand their needs and requirements and response quickly to ensure business as usual.
Manage the R&D E2E LO/BUD process with stakeholders.
Drive processes and best practices across the functions to make sure the team is inline with Syngenta Ways of Working.
Manage Ad-hoc Projects and Requests as necessary to support the business in deep-diving in different business critical areas to give a better visibility on the way forward decisions.

Responsible for fundamental changes of processes to eliminate inefficiencies and improve effectiveness and quality
Ensures optimal resource and cost allocation within team (without budget responsibility)
Generally, requires broad understanding of the activities across Syngenta

May manage projects or supervise individuals
Requires knowledge and understanding within own discipline/work area
Requires formal qualification/vocational training and experience in own area of expertise
Often develops or improves known methods, products, procedures and systems
Often analyses, solves and communicates problems through selection of appropriate existing solution
Sometimes evaluates new ideas and possibilities
Builds relationships with key contacts within own network, internally and occasionally externally
Ability to collaborate efficiently with staff at all levels within Syngenta

May have some supervisory responsibility for non-professionals but mainly guides and acts as a resource for colleagues (professionals) with less experience
Sometimes formally train junior staff
