PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Plans, supervises, and controls the activities of assigned personnel for efficient, safe and profitable operation under the direction of the general foreman and shop manager. The mechanical shop supervisor is to execute a daily work schedule with the proper systems and priority for mechanical operations in the shop. The position also ensures that the correct job-related information and facilitates the necessary resources to complete the required tasks. The shop supervisor enforces plant rules, motivates and mentors direct reports, handles minor
personnel issues, monitors scrap/rework/warranty, assists with proposal generation and provides technical expertise to ensure quality/safety on all projects.

BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in the field of turbomachinery repair.

NATURE OF THE JOB

SUPERVISION

This is a supervisory role with direct responsibility for Shop personnel and for the quality/safety/efficiency of their work. Performance evaluation, training, discipline and motivation of direct reports are all components of the position.
The shop supervisor must lead by example in terms of dependability, integrity, safety focus and technical skill. The incumbent is expected to provide leadership to Shop employees in other disciplines by scheduling their workload in
the absence of the other craft supervisors and by communicating effectively with supervision/hourly employees working other shifts.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• To recommend and implement welding protocol to meet Elliott requirements and customer specifications in support of various turbo machinery. Turbomachinery will include turbines, compressors, pumps, gear boxes, and supporting equipment and/or components. Able to perform some complex plan layouts and perform some unusual welding operations in a safe and timely manner to meet customer needs. Has the ability to plan and oversee work with limited supervision or feedback. Has the ability to help train other employees in the functions and processes in the department.

• Ability to perform stress relieving and non-destructive testing to Elliott specifications.

• Able to understand and process documentation associated with turbo machinery such as inspection reports, photo logs, and hold tags.

• Advance knowledge of lifting, rigging, crane, forklift operations, cut-off saws, heating/cutting torches, plasma cutting, steam cleaners, power hand tools such as drills, grinders, and other necessary equipment as needed. 

• Advanced knowledge and accuracy in using required measuring devices.

• Able to help train other hourly employees in weld processes and procedures.

• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

• Performs most complex setups and machine tool operations. This includes turning, boring, facing, milling, drilling, reaming, tapping, sawing, slotting, grooving, grinding, and other required actions to complete the job.

• Ability to work to extremely close tolerances.

• Maintains equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements and notifying the appropriate representative for troubleshooting and repairs.

Job Purpose:  

The Product Manager has overall responsibility for achieving the sales and profit targets for the related product groups and creating the highest return for both TD SYNNEX and the vendor. While responsible for revenue outcomes, this is a sales enablement position. This will be achieved through marketing programs, sales training, sales support, technical pre-sales support, vendor contract and vendor relationship. These activities, especially sales and marketing are targeted at both the TD SYNNEX extended sales team and the partner community.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of business plans for the vendor product group and associated services.

• Development and implementation of sales enablement programs for TD SYNNEX and partners.

• Ensure that the technical sales support teams are appropriately trained to support the relevant product groups.

• Development and implementation of marketing programs to support product group objectives.

• Creation of joint initiatives with our vendor and business partners.

• Responsible for effective planning, including inventory turns, inventory fulfillment and inventory obsolescence minimisation.

• Implementation of business plans that achieve agreed vendor revenue targets and generate the planned profit outcomes.

• In order to execute product leadership it will be necessary to maintain knowledge of sales processes, proposals, pipeline management, partner engagement so that remedial actions can be recommended where necessary.

Exceptional Family Engagement and Customer Service

·       Spearhead the organization and execution of community outreach, events, workshops, and gatherings to strengthen the parent communities in Bali.

·       Facilitate a calendar of engaging activities that cater to the interests and educational goals of our families across our network.

·       Lead parent events (e.g. Parent Information Evenings; Children’s Night; Coffee Chats)

Qualifications

●        More than 3 years of substantive leadership and management experience with early childhood school leadership experience strongly preferred

●        School administration or other operations experience, with a developed ability to solve complex operational problems
