The Role

You will be at the front seat in delivering the best service and experience to our customers through retail.  Responsible for end-to-end operational and customer excellence, people development, assortment, and financial profitability for a cluster of stores. Main Responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership

• Together with the Assistant Retail Manager building a strong and high performing retail store team to achieve the desirable and targeted KPI and store metrics target, improve store and team productivity, and to ensure the profitability of all stores.
• Strategize manpower resource planning and management for all stores (including but not limited to oversee shift schedules, retail staff budgeting, monitor the performance of team productivity and efficiency, socialise employment SOPs, and implement disciplinary metrics) to achieve optimal staffing levels and build a high performing retail store team.

• At least 8 years of increasingly responsible work experience in a combination of Marketing and/or Sales function, and over this period has successfully delivered meaningful metrics, especially top-line and bottom-line results.
• Consistent track record of success (leading & participating) with matrix organizations and projects that involve multi-disciplinary teams.
• Has demonstrated success in ambitious business situations, i.e. new business model, turn-around, and sustaining high growth.
• A strong level of business and commercial acumen, particularly in omnichannel retail and distribution, and a deep understanding of the business’ local market and consumer behavior.

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for supporting the hotel management to define the hotel strategies which include business mix, pricing by seasons and day of the week – in conjunction with the annual rate grid, budget and forecast.

 What you will be doing:

• Analyze the hotel results and performances (average rates, occupancy rates, RevPar, market index, Geographic Data, Channel Reports and all the necessary measurements) as a basis for future tactic al decisions with the hotel GM, through RM tools such as EzRMs, InTouch Data, STAR Reports, OTA insights, etc.
• Ensure and accurate and dynamic forecast for future dates (by room and revenue by segment and day) based on the RM referenced systems recommendations and a daily monitoring of the data (booking pick-up, events, calendar events, etc).
• Produce accurate forecast on weekly and monthly basis in conjunction to complete the weekly and monthly reporting, including end of month reports, hotel activity report, business reviews and budget preparation.
• Take daily decisions to optimize the hotel turnover. Decisions in terms of pricing, inventory and RMLs management and distribution channels control.
• Ensure the daily, monthly and yearly strategies are implemented in all distribution channels and hotel personnel, including reservation, reception and sales team and ensure all systems (PMS, RMS and TARS) are updated accordingly.
• Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand the impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance.

Successful candidate will lead daily payment operations and are passionate about ensuring the operations of our fast-growing business run smoothly. He/she will be leading a team of Senior Executives and Executives across the APAC region with markets Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and reporting to the Head of FinOps.

What will you do :

• Be in charge of day-to-day operations to ensure payouts, refunds and reconciliation of payments is done on time and is 100% accurate.
• Supporting Head of Finops with new markets expansion
• Leading a team of regional Senior Executives and Executives
• Ensuring team members are up to date with product knowledge accuracy, process adherence and SLAs including providing constant internal training and maintaining daily resource planning with the team
• Lead monthly financial and regulatory reporting for our payment partners and regulatory bodies, including assisting with internal and external audit requirements
• Manage day-to-day relationships with our third party operational partners (banks, network partners, payment processors and other fintechs), including maintenance of internal policies / SOPs and knowledge base of policy changes across partners.
• Being the payout approval point and escalation point for all funding and payment issues and providing clear decision making process maintaining accuracy. Raising complex issues to the Head of FinOps.
• Being the sole point of contact for daily operations across FinOps and cross teams (product, data, commercial, marketing, compliance, customer success, etc)
• Work closely with product and technical teams to suggest and implement product design enhancements that will streamline and improve operations.
• Work closely with the compliance team to ensure adherence to our risk management framework to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal and external KYC requirements, and compliance with transaction monitoring guidelines.
• Create monthly analytical reports and insights on the company’s financial operations to guide strategy on margin improvements and pricing.
• Working with Data team to ensure reports and data sources are accurate and up to date
• Work cross functionally to support sales and marketing to deliver an exceptional user experience on CardUp.
• Lead feedback loop across teams maintaining data centricity to resolve operational gaps and recurring issues.

• At least 6 years of experience in an operations role within the payments / fintech sector
• Deep understanding of operations and data analytics, experience in payment processing a plus
• Self-starter, entrepreneurial mind set with drive and initiative to solve problems and get things done.
• Flexible and able to multi-task; fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment, driving toward clarity and solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks with short turnaround time.
• Excellent communication skills and personal qualities of integrity, credibility and quality.
• Strong command of the English language (written and verbal).
• Strong comprehension skills and high analytical abilities. 
• Minimum BSc / BA, MBA a plus
