The Role

Reporting directly to the Assistant Retail Manager, you will analyse, interpret, and report operational business results to ensure that the overall success of a cluster of stores is attained.

Main Responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership

• Together with the Assistant Retail Manager building a strong and high performing retail store team to achieve the desirable and targeted KPI and store metrics target, improve store and team productivity, and to ensure the profitability of all stores.
• Strategize manpower resource planning and management for all stores (including but not limited to oversee shift schedules, retail staff budgeting, monitor the performance of team productivity and efficiency, socialise employment SOPs, and implement disciplinary metrics) to achieve optimal staffing levels and build a high performing retail store team.
• Set standards and objectives for store teams to ensure the team provides seamless customer experience and operational process; inspire and enable the team to provide a top notch and LB service to all customers through training and mentoring with the Retail Trainer.

Retail Performance & Operational Excellence

• Responsible for the achievement of all stores' performance targets by monitoring daily/weekly/monthly/yearly performance, identifying the challenges in the floor, and providing insights and actionables initiatives to ensure all performance metrics achievements.
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate general store administration/operational aspects to ensure compliance with policies and procedures in Love, Bonito, and to increase store productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor retail store customer experience (including customers inquiries and complaints), facilitate escalated complaints and solutions findings, and develop strategies to enhance the customer experience to ensure retail store customer satisfactions.
• Collaborate closely with the Operations and Merchandising team to understand the customer type of Love, Bonito stores and allocate the right assortment to drive the overall performance of the store.
• Maintain attractive store conditions, by working closely with the Visual Merchandising team, to optimise layout and displays in-store; support brand and visual campaigns of new tacticals and launches, develop strategies to enhance future sales, and evaluate the performance.
• Collaborate closely with Assistant Retail Manager for the brainstorming and execution of campaigns, events, improvements, and store openings. 
• Responsible for retail marketing initiatives analysis, execution, and evaluation to improve overall performance metrics and gain awareness.
• Identify business opportunities and actively engage in anticipating business impact or roll out plans; provide input in developing effective and scalable solutions to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements & Experiences :

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the retail industry, preferably in fast fashion. 
• Minimum 4 years of experience in managing a retail team(s) - both front and back of house. 
• Minimum diploma degree in finance/communications/marketing/merchandising.
• Moderate knowledge in Visual Merchandising and able to implement a creative visual merchandising strategy to optimise layout, display-in-store is preferred
• Extremely customer-centric and genuinely enjoys serving and getting to know customers better. 
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proven ability communicate across different levels of an organisation
• Distinct communication skills, to include a willingness to offer positive and negative feedback as needed

Your role

Position Purpose:

The purpose of the role is to design, deliver and execute an effective training plan across all Dyson retailers, the front-line team and demonstrators (Experts & Stylists) covering all aspects of product knowledge and ‘why Dyson’ sales skills. Accountability for training budget and team management.

Description of Duties:

Deliver internal training and education on all new and existing products, to support the development, knowledge and engagement of Dyson products within the front-line teams (Experts/Stylist, Retail activation team, and NAM Team)

• Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions on new and existing products to ensure knowledge, engagement and enthusiasm is transferred
• Develop, apply and facilitate an engaging annual calendar of training sessions for line managers across retail, customer care and commercial functions to build core line manager skill sets of performance management training, development plan delivery and giving and receiving feedback.
• Coach, deliver constructive feedback and ensure a high level of product knowledge and sales skills are embedded and transferred to front line teams
• Adapt, develop and execute the Training programmes for Dyson and Retailer´s sales staff.
• Work with external providers to develop Training programmes that build the capability of our Sales Team
• Apply Dyson materials to functional environments to ensure relevance and impact e.g. role play materials suitable for engineering and retail environments where the performance conversations can be tougher and done through remote working.

• Support core commercial teams where first line management roles are common and line manager skill set may not have been broad or deep.

The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with our National Account Team, District & Area Managers and Marketing to develop annual strategies per retailer and per category and create annual content.

• Build and foster a strong Experts (Sales Advisors) and Stylist (Beauty/Hair Sales Advisors) community by delivering and executing impactful and inspiring training for our Experts and Stylists community.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to prepare visuals and guidelines that are locally relevant and compliance with Dyson standards.
• Ensure Dyson Perfect demo is well executed in stores working closely with trade marketing.
• Be the voice of the market into global training meetings, stay update on the new technology and available Dyson resources.
• Visit stores at least on a bi-monthly basis to ensure perfect demo is executed – regular travel is required.

Deliver external training sessions to retailer store staff, driving Dyson brand advocacy and enhancing their ability to sell Dyson products.

• Plan, design and deliver training through ‘Dyson or retailer academies’, increasing their product knowledge, awareness of the brand and help them deliver the ‘why Dyson’ message.
• Liaise with Marketing and the retailer to produce materials for store staff to be used in conjunction with training sessions and ways of selling to drive advocacy.
• Plan focused training sessions in line with market activity to support Dyson plans.  Provide training tools to enable excellent sales execution.

Provide a comprehensive induction program to ensure all new colleagues are equipped with the knowledge and tools to excel within their roles

• Deliver comprehensive inductions to all new colleagues.
• Periodically evaluate the induction program and recommend changes to drive enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for the brand.
• Develop methods to test knowledge and ensure the induction structure provides opportunity to learn about the products.

Develop new training platform utilizing latest technology in order to have continuous engagement and longer lasting impact of face-to-face training sessions and enable fast sharing of best practices.
