The Product Owner (PO) will collaborate closely with segment and product teams to design and manage new digital financial services offerings across the company's digital platforms. This role covers the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and customer research to design, development, launch, iteration, and ongoing support.
You will bring a passion for meeting the needs of individuals and businesses through a variety of banking products, combined with a deep understanding of how technology can enhance customers' daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and the development scrum team to define and clarify business requirements.
- Define the vision and requirements for products and services, focusing on customer needs and business goals.
- Lead the project discovery and inception phases, setting clear goals and outcomes.
- Establish the minimum viable product (MVP) for launch, plan for iterations, and map future development horizons.
- Drive agile delivery, including backlog prioritization, user story creation, sprint planning, and roadmap management.
- Work with teams such as UXD, marketing, and research to refine the product scope based on customer personas, motivations, and behaviors to create a rewarding customer experience.
- Regularly liaise with technical teams to prioritize and understand development implications.
- Ensure continuous stakeholder engagement to align on project scope and meet business needs.
- Oversee support and maintenance to ensure continuous improvement in product delivery.
- Validate customer problems, set learning objectives, and use analytics to inform product roadmap decisions.
- Motivate and guide scrum teams, participate in daily ceremonies, and ensure high-quality work delivery.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for the team and take ownership of product results.
- Contribute to community discussions with product and business expertise.
- 4+ YOE as a Product Owner
- Industry-relevant qualification with Agile Product Owner certification is highly desirable.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in managing projects to completion and in Agile environments as a Product Owner.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and build innovative customer experiences.
- Passion for staying updated on the latest digital trends.
- Experience working with business stakeholders and development teams to deliver digital products and services.
- Strong influencing skills, with the ability to manage challenging business and technical stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen with a focus on data-driven decisions and business value.
- Experience in the financial services industry is an advantage.
